This 1965 Citroën 2CV was bought new from the Citroën showroom in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles by Bill Harrah – an American businessman and the founder of Harrah’s Hotel and Casinos – but also famous car collector.

It was stored in a museum-like state for about 40 years. The previous owner bought it some ten years ago and has scarcely used it, explaining the 116 miles showing on the odometer. Probably the lowest mileage for any Citroën 2CV from this period. Having been stored under perfect conditions, it is pretty much as new as the day it left the factory

The Estimation before the auction was between € 30,000 – € 40,000 but this exclusive Citroën 2CV California was sold for € 59,568.

    Ferraris are ten a dozen, not this car or any other 2cv for that matter!!!
